The Educational Divide in Urban Settlements

Delhi is known as a premier educational hub, yet just miles away from top universities, thousands of children living in informal bastis and resettlement colonies struggle to complete basic primary literacy. Financial instability, lack of learning environments at home, and the pressing need to support family livelihoods often force children out of school.

The Global Impact Welfare Foundation believes that no child's future should be determined by their postal code. That is why our Seva Squad launched localized community study pods across West Delhi, focusing on clusters in Uttam Nagar, Hastal Vihar, and Vikaspuri.

Our Three-Tiered Approach to Slum Literacy

1. Remedial Learning & Mentorship: Children attend after-school tutoring sessions led by passionate college student volunteers who teach foundational mathematics, Hindi reading, and English phonetics.
2. Comprehensive Educational Kits: Every semester, we provide children with sturdy school bags, notebooks, pencils, geometry sets, and uniforms to remove the material barriers preventing them from attending school with dignity.
3. Parental Counseling & School Re-enrollment: We actively conduct door-to-door counseling with daily-wage parents, addressing dropout fears and facilitating admission into government schools under the Right to Education (RTE) Act.

Real Impact, Verified Progress

Over the past year, our education initiatives have impacted more than 5,000 children across Delhi NCR, achieving a 94% retention rate among previously irregular students. By combining emotional mentorship with material support, we create a nurturing ecosystem where young minds can dare to dream beyond their immediate circumstances.
